ROLLS-ROYCE MOTOR CARS' DEALER UNIFORM AND HEAD OFFICE WORKWEAR
Following several meetings at Rolls Royce and pcl corporatewear's offices, the range of exclusive male and female garments was launched to the Dealer Network, including Dealer Jackets and Soft Shells, Cotton-Rich Oxford Shirts and Blouses, Woven Silk Ties, Fine Guage V-neck Jumpers and Cotton Polo Shirts. Each Dealer is allocated a unique login to a secure area of the pcl web site, where they are able to access the Rolls Royce Motor-Cars exclusive range of uniform and place their orders online. The order is immediately received by pcl and despatched within a week of receipt. A report providing details of all orders received is produced and forwarded to Rolls Royce Head Office on a monthly basis. The whole process was organised and put in place by pcl on behalf of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars with no need for any financial outlay for development costs or stockholding from Rolls-Royce. pcl deals directly and receives payment from each indivudal Dealer, minimising the input needed from Head Office. The whole order processing system runs very smoothly and the Dealers are now wearing a quality, standardised uniform worldwide. Following the success of this project, we were contacted by the Production Department who are regularly ordering large quantities of workwear. They require a range of garments which must have concealed fastenings to ensure they do not scratch any paintwork. Additionally some fabrics interfere with the highly technical equipment used during the production process and all had to be rigorously tested before being approved for supply. A new range was developed, including bespoke cotton polo shirts with a concealed placket, lambswool V-neck jumpers, bespoke poly/cotton work trousers and warehouse coats, fleece jackets and outdoor jackets. Garments are stored at pcl's premises in Dunstable and called off on a weekly basis. Prior to despatch polo shirts, jumpers and jackets are personalised with the individual wearer's name and manpacked for ease of distribution. |
